StandUSA is a new kind of online community: a network for American values. Most Americans know, instinctively, that their deeply-held ideals of faith, family, and freedom are shared by the majority of their countrymen. But our media—the news we read and watch, the movies of Hollywood, the music broadcast into our homes and cars—tells a different story.
Staggeringly, 90% of this media is created by only six mega-corporations. This monolithic voice tells the story that faith is foolish, that family is obsolete, and that freedom is no longer self-evident, but now subject to the whims of our government. This voice rings out round the clock from every newspaper and movie screen, from every radio and television set. Until now, nothing could hope to challenge its spread across the world, aided by countless billions of our entertainment dollars.
StandUSA is writing a new story, and we want you to help us tell it. Voices for freedom still speak out—in our places of worship, in our national and grassroots organizations working to uphold freedom, in the blogs and media of prominent thought leaders. StandUSA will become a place where these voices will be heard. But the most important voice is the one lost in the crowd, buried under a tidal wave of cynicism, apathy, and fear: the voice of the people.
Using social media, we aim to restore that voice, to inspire, unify, and amplify it. Never before in human history has a technology existed that could channel the ideals and passion of so many ordinary people into a single cause. We call on all citizens of courage, character, and conviction to join our Facebook community, where you will add your support to the community alongside your fellow citizens and aligned organizations. We will fulfill the long-standing promises of our Republic: that every voice matters, that those who govern do so by consent of the people, and that freedom is utterly inviolable.
