Last Ounce of Courage: About the Film

Last Ounce of Courage is the story of a grieving father inspired by his grandson to take a stand for faith and freedom against a tide of apathy and vanishing liberty. Alongside fellow citizens ofcourage, faith, and integrity, he is a champion for the cherished principles we the people hold dear. A tale of family bonds and free expression, the film seeks to encourage all Americans to take a stand and raise their voices in support of their beliefs.

Last Ounce of Courage is directed by Darrel Campbell (Pistol) and Kevin McAfee (End of the Spear, Beyond the Gates of Splendor). The screenplay was written by Darrel Campbell, who was inspired to write the film by his concern over vanishing religious freedoms in our nation.

“Maybe there’s a bit of divine intervention that has allowed this film to develop at this time,” said Campbell. “This has all come together in the last year as people truly have sensed some loss of freedom in many ways, in all areas of our lives.”

The film stars Marshall Teague (Friday Night Lights, Armageddon) as Bob Revere, a small town mayor who suffers an unimaginable tragedy and Hunter Gomez (National Treasure) as his grandson Christian. The cast also includes Jennifer O’Neill (Summer of ’42, Scanners), and Fred Williamson (Starsky and Hutch, Black Caesar). The film features a stirring original score composed by Ron Owen. The film was shot in the rugged mountains of Colorado.

Last Ounce of Courage was produced by Veritas Entertainment, a film company dedicated to creating movies and other media that demonstrate themes of courage, character, and conviction. Veritas plans to release a series of films exemplifying these principles over the next several years.

Last Ounce of Courage and Veritas are proud to partner with StandUSA, an online community for American values, to stand up for the ideals of faith, family, and freedom in a pivotal time for our country. StandUSA, along with its partners and affiliates, encourages all Americans to take the inspirational message of the film to heart and raise their voices in support of freedom.

Last Ounce of Courage opens September 14 in 1,200 theaters nationwide.
